Hello and Welcome to the Greatest Resource Edu-Care family! I am honored that you are considering or have chosen Greatest Resource Educational Care for the childcare and education of your child. I am looking forward to working with you and your child. I truly believe that today's children are our greatest resource, because they are the future. They are so precious and valuable; therefore, I will always do my best in caring for your child.
My main goals are to keep your child safe, to provide him/her with lots of loving care, and to help him/her develop cognitively, physically, emotionally, and socially. At Greatest Resource you will find an open, nurturing, learning based environment that supports each child's differing abilities. Research has shown that children learn through play and benefit from a structured yet flexible schedule. Activities designed to stimulate their senses and natural curiosity, expand on their language development and understanding and build their fine and gross motor skills will be offered daily. Social interactions, pre- writing and reading skills, and pre-math concepts are also a big part of our daily routine. Children will be taught to respect themselves, each other, adults, pets, and property.
I have an exciting program planned for the children and encourage your suggestions, comments, and involvement. I try to email you our upcoming lesson plans every Sunday evening. This email will explain the activities and what skills they are enhancing or teaching and will have the lyrics of the songs your child will be singing. With this information you can discuss your child's day as well as find things at home that will expand upon what they are being exposed to here at school.
Please take a moment to read a little more about me and why I have chosen Home Childcare as my career. You can also check out our daily schedule. I'm not a clock-watcher when it comes to the children's activities. We stick with an activity until they lose interest. Sometimes it's just a matter of minutes, other times hours or days. All activities are revisited several times throughout the week or year, so if they aren't interested the first time it is introduced, they may be the second or third time! Check out the current lesson plans and photos to see what themes we used during the 2008/2009 school year to learn all our preschool and k-readiness basics. A sample daily lesson plan is also available. You can also check out a sampling of some of the nutritious lunches and snacks served here. And finally, if you are really into reading, check out the Parent Handbook that outlines the policies and procedures under which I operate my childcare business. The entire handbook is not online as of yet, but I hope to eventually finish typing it in.
If you have any questions or would like to set up a time to stop by for a tour, please give me a call. I would love to share my enthusiasm and love for my profession with you! |
