SEPTEMBER
was full of apple-icious fun!
We experimented in all the different ways we could eat apples.  The children particulalry liked the apple pizza they made!  We had a lot of fun balancing apples on our heads while counting with the characters in Dr. Seuss's book, Ten Apples Up On Top.  (I was surprised to find I could balance 4 on my head!)  We did some name recognition, color sorting, and some simple addition and subtraction.  Apples also help us explore our diversities.  We learned that even though all the apples had different skin colors they had the same things inside just like people!
And we did some shape recognition activities and projects.  can you guess what shape we talked about on this day?
